Hey there!

I'm Aliza, a fashionista, travelista, and lover of anything pink! I am a born and bread New Englander; my home base is in Massachusetts, I summer in Maine, and I just graduated college in Rhode Island. My life (and style!) changed forever when this NE gal took on England in 2018. I loved exploring my London home and every weekend brought a new European adventure. Ever since I’ve been chronically ill with the travel bug and my fashion sense got an urban spin. I just graduated college and I am following my dream by pursuing a career in fashion! The Most Stylish Shoe for Spring: Mules

The Most Stylish Shoe for Spring: Mules

As long as I can remember, I have been on a quest to find the perfect shoe for spring.

Does anyone else have this problem? My two favorite shoes are booties in the winter and sandals in the summer. Both of which you can overlap in the fall, but not really into the spring. Its too warm for booties and two cold yet for sandals, so what shoes am I supposed to wear during this in between season?

I do find myself gravitating towards sneakers, but I need another options! Sometimes there are occasions where you want to wear something not as casual. Don’t get me wrong, I love sneakers, but they definitely dress an outfit down.

Lately, I have come to the conclusion that when you don’t need something, i.e a fashion piece, you will see so many good options and you don’t buy them because you don’t need them at the time. But, when you need something and you are desperately looking for that fashion piece, you can’t find one good one.

For example, last September I was going to a wedding and in the beginning of the spring and summer I saw so many good dress options. But once it got closer to the wedding and I was in scramble mood, I could not find one dress that I liked and the pressure was on!

What have I learned from this? If you see something you LOVE buy it. When shopping, good pieces can be hit or miss. If you have a special occasion or are on the hunt for something special, start shopping ahead of time!

So, I took my own advice and when I saw these mules at Nordstrom Rack in the dead of winter, I knew I needed to buy them. Despite the below freezing temperatures outside, I got them with visions of spring outfits in my head.

I have been wearing these babies like crazy because it is that time of the year in New England where the weather is just so in between. In the morning it could be freezing, but by noon you are shedding all of your layers. I think last year mules came into fashion and at first I was not sure how I felt about them. No backs? That is kind of strange, but I have found them to be so comfortable, airy, and flattering. I have been wearing them to my (LAST) college classes, pairing them with jeans or my beloved Skyline Pants. I definitely see my self even wearing these into the summer with a cute little sundress!

What shoes do you find yourself wearing in the spring? Here are some more mules that I have had my eye on!

Which pair is your favorite? Thanks for reading!
