Hey there!

I'm Aliza, a fashionista, adventurista, and lover of anything pink! My site is a place where I share outfits I love, places I am traveling, and what's going on in my life. I am a born and bread New Englander, but currently this NE gal is taking on England! Everyday I get to explore my London neighborhood and every weekend brings on a new European adventure. Follow my blog to see what I am wearing and where I am off to next!

That's a Wrap!

That's a Wrap!

The wrap dress is back and I couldn't be more excited!

Back in the 1970s, designer Dianne Von Furstenburg sought out to make something beautiful and flattering for the female body. Sketches later, she created a sensation: the wrap dress. The wrap dress, though so simple, flattered women of all shapes and sizes. It looked like a piece of fabric was effortlessly wrapped around a woman's body and tied at the waist.

Flash forward to 2018 and they are back! Wrap dresses still look amazing on everyone, so I don't know why they ever went out of style!

Right when I walked into the J.Crew store, this dress was the first thing that I saw and I knew I had to have it! It's funny because this isn't something I would normally pick out and something that you normally see at J.Crew, but maybe that's why it stood out to me. I thought that the bright color was perfect for summer and I loved that it was a wrap dress because I had been looking for one to add to my wardrobe! The ruffle on the skirt hem was just icing on the cake.

This dress also comes in a few other adorable prints if you want to check them out:

I dressed up this outfit a little because I was going to my sister's high school graduation. I wore a pair of nude wedges, but this dress would also be so perfect in the day time with some sandals and maybe even a jean jacket! I have had these nude wedges (I linked VERY similar ones) since I graduated from high school and I am so glad that I bought them when I did. They go so well with any summer outfit, well dressing it up at the same time. There are so many different occasions that I have needed to wear heels and I was so happy that I had these wedges because they are so much more comfortable!! Everyone needs a go to pair for their summer wardrobe!

Alright, now on to my cute little summer bag!! I am so excited about it! Before the beginning of a new season, I always shop around and check out Pinterest before I start to make some purchases. This way I can see what's new, what stores are showing, and compare prices. When I did this before the weather started to get warmer, all I wanted was some sort of straw/rattan circle bag. Whenever I saw someone with one I just thought that it MADE their outfit and added an element of summer. If you have a bag like that, it doesn't even matter what your outfit looks like because it's automatically cute.

I did so much shopping around to find my perfect straw/rattan circle bag, but I found that they are SO expensive! I realllyyyy wanted one, but I never like to spend too much money on more trendy pieces. Even ones on Amazon were expensive (and got bad reviews) and that's when you know something is going to be hard to find.

I finally found my perfect, reasonably priced, summer bag when I was walking through Urban Outfitters. Who knew I would ever use the words 'Urban Outfitters' and 'reasonably priced' in the same sentence? Not me.

This guy was only $44 and it is a lot bigger than the cross body bags I was originally looking at. I love the size because I will be able to fit a good amount of stuff in it and can even use it as a beach bag! I can't wait to bring it along with me all summer long! Here are some others that I have found if you're looking for your perfect summer outfit making bag too!

And that's a wrap! I am so excited to wear this wrap dress all summer long and I am so grateful for all of the warm weather we are finally having! Thank you for reading!
