My Favorite Summer Outfit
I love summer fashion so much because it's so effortless. You don't have to worry about if your coat matches with the outfit that lies underneath, and the weather is pretty consistent throughout the season, unlike others. I love that I can just throw something on and be out the door with just a garment or two.
This outfit combines all of my favorite pieces for summer fashion! And I didn't even plan it when I put this outfit on, it just happened because they are all so easy to wear! You have probably heard me talk about how much I adore each one of them somewhere else on my blog, or on my Instagram, but if you haven't heard enough, keep reading!!!
The foundation for this outfit are my white jeans! Seriously, I have worn these so much this summer! They are just so perfect for every occasion. I wear them to my internship, to go out to dinner with my friends, or even super casually with my black Steve Madden slip ons and a t-shirt! In this case, I dressed them up with a nice top and a pair of high heel mules to go out to dinner.
My next summer favorite is off the shoulder tops (ots)! I professed my love to ots tops in this post that I wrote in the spring with all of my favorites! I am obsessed with this top (P.S it's on sale!!) because it is so cute, flowy, and effortless. This one is a little different than others because the sleeves are just attached in the armpits, making it looked more relaxed. I also love the bow detail in the back. It makes the girly girl in me smile :). I have worn this one so many times and love it, but do be warned, it wrinkles very easily! Ots tops have been my go to this summer when I need something cute and easy!
As you might have read in my Not Your 90s Chokers post, I was a little hesitant to jump on the choker band wagon, but now I love them! I'm a big jewelry person, but I know a lot of people aren't, so they are perfect when you want to dress an outfit up because they are so simplistic. I think that they are perfect for ots tops too! You either need to go long or super short here if you are going to wear a necklace, and with this outfit I chose super short. This choker just adds a little sparkle and shine to my outfit, and you can never so wrong with that if you ask me!
Finally, I added my new favorite shoes as the finishing touch! (See an even better picture of them here!) I cannot out how much I love them to words, but I am going to try: First of all, they are so freaking cute come on. Second, they are so easy to walk in and so comfortable for a high heel shoe. I am pretty short (I am only 5" 4'), so I love the idea of wearing high heels, but I do not love wearing high heels because they are never comfortable. Since they have a block heel, you can't tell, you might as well be wearing a flat shoe. They are also arched, so they match the curves in my feet. The day that I first wore these, I wore my Jack Rogers sandals all day at work and my feet were killing me by the end of the day because they were so flat. After work, I really wanted to wear my new shoes out to dinner, but I was really dreading the pain of a high heel. Surprisingly, they were more comfortable then my Jack Rogers.
I also think that they look a little bit like a mule too! Mules have become so popular lately, but I have not been able to find a pair that was my style until now. I think that these shoes were one of my best purchases this summer and I am going to wear them with everything!
White jeans, ots tops, gold chain chokers, and these shoes have been my favorite pieces this summer, what pieces have been yours? Leave my a comment below and tell me!
