Springtime (?) in Boston Outfit

Springtime (?) in Boston Outfit

I'm home from college! Which means more blog posts, free time, and, for me at least, summer vacation! However, here in Boston I might be on "summer" vacation, it doesn't even feel like springtime. For the few days I have been home, it has been about 50 degrees out and pouring rain and it's killing my springtime vibes. Honestly, it was probably warmer here in February, but hey, that's New England for you.

I surprised my mom for Mother's Day and took her to Eataly Boston to eat some carbs and explore the markets. We had a great time and this is the "springtime" outfit I wore. I wanted something cute, comfortable, and felt a little springy, despite what the weather was actually like. The spring element in my outfit was the cutest gingham tank with floral applique from Primark. Primark opened in Boston in 2015, but for some reason I didn't go until this fall! Ever since, I have been obsessed because they always have the latest styles, at the lowest prices and it reminds me of the feeling of awe I felt when my mall first got a Forever 21, way back when I was in middle school. But Primark has even cheaper prices than Forever (this top was $13, like come on). At first, I envisioned wearing it with white jeans and sandals. But, since it's still cold and rainy, I wasn't feeling white jeans. Instead, I paired this springy top with my go to ripped black jeans, that add a little something something to everything I wear them with. I decided to add a punk element to this outfit by adding a bunch of black leather with my jacket, slip on sneakers, and of course, my Rebecca Minkoff mini mac bag.

If you don't own a pair of black slip on sneakers, you're doing it wrong. They are the easiest thing to just pop on your feet and head out the door and they look good with basically any outfit. Whether they are Vans or Steve Madden, I promise that they are worth the purchase. Mine are Steve Madden that I found at Nordstrom Rack and they were one of the best purchases I have made this year because I wear them all the time! Once you add a pair of basic black ones to your closet, there are also so many fun slip ons that I am dying to add to mine next:

I am hoping that the weather is going to warm up asap and I can finally wear some proper springtime clothes! Come on weather, it's time to corporate!
