Spring Style: Off the Shoulder Tops
It may still be 35 degrees and raining here in New England, but it's April 1st, so I'm ready for some spring fashion! I am so excited to bring my off the shoulder tops out from the back of my closet. Off the shoulder tops (or décolletage, the proper name I learned in fashion school) are my favorite for this spring because they are are cute, comfy, and flattering for so many people. Even if they are in a simple tried and true pattern, this new fashion forward silhouette is fresh and eye-catching. Here are some of my favorite picks that you need in your wardrobe this spring!
Ruffled off the Shoulder Top
This one is perfect for this time of year when you're feeling spring fashion, but spring isn't really feeling you. That statement is how I am feeling right now: I want to break out my spring clothes, but it's still chilly and grey skies here. Since it is in black and white, you can get away with wearing it in this weird winter-spring transition period we are in right now. Pair it with some black skinnies, booties, and maybe a red lip and you have a perfect outfit. Buy it here (on sale!)
Off the Shoulder Vented Top
I just bought this one (along with the first one) and I plan on wearing it with some white jeans and some cute sandals or booties. The bow, slouchiness, and sleeves are all so cute and add to the feminine factor. I can see myself wearing this one on a date or out to dinner when it starts to get a little warmer. Also, Forever 21 is having buy one, get one free (use code BOGOFREE) right now on their sale items, so you can get this one and the first one I talked about for the price of one! I'm a sucker for a good sale. Buy it here (on sale!)
Only Off the Shoulder Denim Top
I'm a little late to the game, but I'm loving Asos right now. Whenever I am scrolling through their site, I want to buy everything and this is definitely not good for my wallet! This top would be the perfect spring addition to your closet because it is so versatile. It can paired with a lot of different things in order to create so many different looks: ripped black jeans for an edgier look, dark wash denim for a denim on denim look, or even tucked into a brightly colored springtime skirt; your options are endless!
Cuff Sleeve Off the Shoulder Top
If this top doesn't scream spring, I don't know what does! Growing up in New England, we call this print seersucker, but everywhere online they are calling it pinstripe. Whatever you want to call it, it's darling. Out of all of the seersucker tops I've seen, this one is my favorite because of the buttons down the middle. It reminds me of a big men's shirt, with e feminine touch. This would be an easy thrown on with some jeans and Jacks for the springtime, and could easily carry over into summer, tucked into white denim shorts.
Tiered Off the Shoulder Top
A babydoll top with a twist. I want this one because it just looks so comfortable. It would be so perfect for when you are feeling a little lazy, but still want to look cute. You could catch me wearing this number with some ripped jeans, eating ice cream, and hanging out with friends.
