Go To Fall Casual Outfit
It makes my heart happy that it finally feels like fall here in New England ❤️. Usually, right around mid September it starts to get a little chilly and my fall wardrobe is in full swing. This year was so weird because it did not start getting cooler until now in mid October! If you live in New England you know what I'm talking about! Those that know me best, know that I hate being hot (especially when you add in some humidity) so I am very content wearing my sweaters and booties without sweating my booty off now!
Fall fashion is probably my favorite out of all of the seasons! I love that you can wear so many different things. You don't have to worry about incorporating a bulky winter coat into your look yet and you can layer up for a bunch of different looks, unlike in the summer.
I love wearing dresses and skirts during the fall time, but when I am looking for a more casual look, this is what I am wearing! This look is super basic and anyone can wear it. I also guarantee you have some of these pieces already in your closet.
I started my go to fall look with my favorite pair of jeans. I seriously wear these babies so much because they go with anything. Gap has the best jeans and if you're in the market for a new pair, definitely get a darker wash like mine. They go so well with anything and also look a lot nicer and dresser than a light wash. You need a pair of dark wash jeans in your closet!
Then I added this lightweight knit from Zara. I love the ruffle details on the bottom of it because it adds more visual interest and movement. Zara is awesome for finding simple pieces that add a little something. All of their pieces are something that you would typically wear, but with the volume turned up. Their site is a little tougher to shop, so I couldn't find my exact sweater but I've linked Zara's sweater collection here. Take a look and you are bound to find a perfect one for fall!
Alright, lets talk accessories. My pendant necklace is from J.Crew and I wear it with literally everything. I love that it has the beautiful stone in the middle and has a tassel! I'm obsessed with tassels if you couldn't tell from my DIY tassel earrings post! I got mine a couple years ago, but they come out with some new styles of it every year! My mom liked mine, so I bought her a similar one from J. Crew last year for Christmas. Here are a few I found that are similar (loving the Kendra Scott one!):
I finished up my outfit with my new favorite pair of booties! I was a little unsure about them when I bought them because I have never had gray booties, but I am so glad I bought them because they go with everything and have the perfect heel height.
This outfit is the perfect casual fall outfit and includes some of my favorite fall pieces. Sweaters, jeans (or leggings when I'm lazy), and booties are basically my fall uniform, but if you use this as a little template, you can create so many more outfits by adding another piece. This outfit would be really cute if I added an army vest or jacket. I even think a nice blanket scarf would fit perfect too! Once it gets even cooler I could trade in my lightweight sweater for a chunky knit. And when the snow starts to fall I can toss my gray suede booties for some Bean Boots! This outfit is so simple and if you take it as a guide, you can make it your own!
